AYFL Early Season Favorites

After a great year of football and all of the post season combines, 7 on 7 and speed and agility camps, we are now closing in on what we all love; football! With that being said, one of my favorite leagues and arguably the best run league around The American Youth Football League aka AYFL will be…

What was the best divisions based on age groups in youth football in all of South Florida?

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 4:23pm 8 Comments

Now that the season is officially over, in your opinion who had the best divisions in football from 15 under to 8 and under in all of the competitive leagues (AYFL, Extreme, NYFL, Pop Warner and SFYFL)? In my opinion from all the leagues and games I've seen here is my list which I am sure will be debated (lol):

15-Under- Pop Warner 160's/Midgets (Overtown-Pop Warner National Champions, Richmond Giants, Gwen Cherry and Palmetto was a stiff competition all season. (Arguably the best…

What are the dream matchups you would like to see now that the season is over? I have a few that I have proposed which is based on age groups and want to know your thoughts on dream matchups? Here are a few of my suggestions minus Pop Warner because they will not be allowed to play:

15 Under Division-165's/175's

SFYFL SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS

MIAMI GARDENS VIKINGS 165S (13-0)…

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 11:22pm 0 Comments

Hey, after enjoying some great Super Bowl Games I got to thinking about what was the actual best game out of some really incredible games? I picked three because I could not decide. Three

games stood out the most; SFYFL's Northside Panthers 120's thrilling

overtime come from behind victory against Miami Gardens Vikings 120's

32-26 in OT! AYFL's Cooper City Cowboys 90's 13-12 OT win over PPO

Bengals 90's and MDXFL's Lake Stevens Cardinals 105's double OT win with

only 15… Continue

When you talk about speed some of the fastest come to mind..like  Bolt, Tyson Gay, Ben Johnson, Carl Lewis just to name a few...but in the game of football in the paint you need more than speed .. IT STARTS WITH  YOUR HEART. We got it all!!!!! FOLLOW ME

Steve-you seem like a knowledgeable guy so I have a question for you.  My oldest son is a Jr. and playing at American Heritage.  He got an invitation from Football University for an invitation only camp this spring.  Is there any value to this camp?  It's kind of expensive but if it will help him get recruited we are all for it.

He is looking to get recruited to smaller schools (Div 3) due to his small size.  He's a pretty good linebacker.  2nd on his team in total tackles, 34 solos, 37 assists, 3 sacks, 1 interception as a junior.

What do you think about this camp?

Steve,  This is coach from Doral 130's I tell you what we are playing Northside 13 and under.   Your 135's are 14 after Sept and take us in weight what is the max weight on your ppo 135's.... I think we match up better against Plantation Wildcats. the AYFL champs.  I would rather play them...since we match up better age and weight....
