Last Saturday, on ESPN -- Jovan "Big Man" Ferguson wrapped up a remarkable youth football career.
The speedy dual threat quarterback accounted for over 100 - all purpose yards and 2 - touchdowns, defeating the Virginia Beach Mustangs (30-0) to take home the Pop Warner Divison One National Championship.
Everyone knows -- quarterbacks are measured on their win-loss record and performances in big games. Jovan football resume will wow you -- including his home-run speed.
Here's a note. Within six years, Jovan has only lost a total of two games as the starting quarterback. He helped fuel his team to six consecutive Sean Taylor Classics (Won 4) and two Pop Warner National Championships (2013 & 2015). Last fall, he was also selected to the FBU 7th grade all-star team. Which advanced to the FBU National Championship.
Those numbers sound pretty impressive right? Well listen to this number. The two-way athlete (QB/DB) ran an eye-popping 4.96 electronically timed 40-yard dash this summer participating in the Generation Nexxt Ultimate Skills Challenge in Davie, FL. He recorded the fastest time amongst quarterbacks and defensive backs for the class of 2020. I honestly believe, he can have a future as a wide receiver at the next level as well with proper coaching.
Jovan quietly had a great season without much fanfare. He's is responsible for 28 - touchdowns this season (12 passing, 16 rushing). He also scored three touchdowns in the three biggest games this season (Far West Jets, Florida City Razorbacks, Florida City Razorbacks - STC). Great youth football career and congratulations on capturing the Divison One National Championship from Generation Nexxt
