The FYFL Travels to the West Coast to Play Snoop Dogg Football League
Two of rap’s music most prolific icons, Snoop Dogg and Flo-Rida partner to give a once in a life time experience to over 300 hundred youth athletes from South Florida and Los Angeles areas. This past Friday, Flo-Rida provided over 150 airline tickets and hotel rooms for youth football players and coaches to compete against Snoop Dogg’s youth football league in Los Angeles.
Hundreds of youth athletes out of the Florida Youth Football League boarded planes out of Miami International Airport with extreme excitement, and some a little nervous since this was the first time ever flying.
International rap artist Flo-Rida said, “This is a blessing to be able to provide this type of experience for kids in the inner city, which never had the opportunity to ever get on an airplane, let alone fly across the nation to compete against kids on the west coast in California.”
Snoop Dogg also said, “I was excited when Flo called me up with the idea of our kids being able to play this cross country game, but more importantly the life lessons and exposure we are providing for these kids is monumental.”
The weekend included a meet and greet, multiple events and sight-seeing from Friday and Saturday, and Sunday will be three action packed games!
Both artists have agreed this will be an annual event moving forward with both teams traveling across the nation to play the FYFL-Snooper Bowl.
