The Flo-Rida Youth Football League is the first South Florida league to go unlimited. When you put in to perspective the impact that the Fyfl has had on South Florida Youth football, it’s safe to say they’re trendsetters. But wait one minute the Fyfl expanded into Southern California to start the SoCal FYFL . With the concept of putting the youth first FYFL is leaving other Leagues in the dust, from Championship rings to Championship trophies to rewarding academic scholars. With the SoCal Fyfl going into its first season Fyfl flew one of the premier programs in the country the I.E Ducks over for a National ranked match up. The Miami Gardens Chiefs of the Fyfl was awaiting their West Coast league members in a clash of East vs West. The trend has been set by Strong Arm and we at Generation Nexxt was on the scene to cover this juggernaut of a game.

Broward Regional Park Fyfl Family & Friends day was the site of this clash of the coasts. Let me give you the tail of the tape the I.E Ducks were Ayf 14u National Champions last year and they produce a lot of D-1 prospects. On the other side of this match up the Miami Gardens Chiefs is almost a mirror image of the Ducks producing tons of d-1 kids and a winning tradition. The I.E Ducks are known for their offensive prowess starting with Dual Threat Qb 6”1 Jake Garcia, Rb Elijah Ugorgi , Joshua Lorick. Pretty much for the entire first half both the Chiefs and Ducks drives would stall. Chiefs Lb’s James Williams & Terrance Lewis were all over the place making plays to slow down the Ducks Zone Read spread offense. Up front Chiefs Kelly “Zoe” Louiseau kept the heat on the I.E Ducks Qb Joel Garcia deflecting passes and disrupting their tempo. Garcia did most of his early damage with his legs keeping it on the zone reads but yet and still the Ducks couldn't manage to put up any points.

This game seemed to be evenly matched with the Chiefs establishing the run with their two head monster Rb’s Kitravis Geter & Zuberi “Poppalu” Mobley. One thing the Miami Gardens Chiefs were known for was producing top notch athletes. On display Qb Cedquan “Backbone” Smith had a lethal connection with Receiver 3# Deointa “Megatron” Nairn who seemed to be open a lot. With all the offensive fire power on both teams the defenses controlled the first half going into halftime tied 0-0.

Haltime adjustments are always a difference in close games with I.E Ducks Coach Keefe & Chiefs Coach Ro tied in this chess match. The 2nd half changed when the Chiefs turned the ball over in their own territory. Elijah Ugorgi who had a big game running the ball turnt things up 2nd half with some big runs to put his team inside the 20 yard line. Ducks Qb Jake Garcia would loft up a jump ball and Receiver Joshua Lorick would go up and get it for the game’s first touchdown. With the Ducks up 6-0, the Ducks defense would turn up the pressure lead by LB Cameron Leofa, Reason Davis, Kenya “Deuce” Dorsey looking to seal the victory

. Fourth Quarter with their backs against the wall Chiefs Rb Kitravis Geter exploded up the middle and to the outside for a 61 yard touchdown run in the blink of an eye. The Momentum on the Chiefs side the game was going in the chiefs favor after the Geter Touchdown . Rahaime Rainey would make two crucial plays an interception & a huge touchdown catch that was negated by a block in the back penalty. Chiefs who looked like they had all but came from behind with the victory was headed into Overtime.

Miami Gardens Chiefs would have the first crack at taking the lead and possibly knocking off the I.E Ducks. Qb Cedquan Smith would attempt two passes before being pressured and picked off on 3rd down by the game Mvp Joshua Lorick. Ducks would get their chance to win the game from the 5 yard line on a Chiefs 12 man on the field penalty. From the 5 yard line the Ducks would almost give the Chiefs back the ball fumbling a hand-off but they would recover their own fumble. Leaving no room for error the Ducks gave 5# Elijah Ugorgi two carries before he punches it in for the game winning touchdown in Overtime Ducks win 12-6. It’s an Ole saying steel sharpens steel I guess this game was the prime example of that analogy. Both of these extremely talented teams put on a show to represent the Strong Arm Fyfl brand. I.E Ducks no doubt showed they’re a top 5 ranked National team. The Miami Gardens Chiefs are no doubt a top 10 National Ranked team and will no doubt be in the National Picture. For all who doubted could the Ducks reloaded after having a loaded Ayf National Championship 14 u team, I think they pretty much answered critics. Coach Keefe and the I.E Ducks are building something special in the SoCal Fyfl league. Look for the I.E Ducks to be in the picture for possibly a back to Back National Title .   outside for a 61 yard touchdown run in the blink of an eye. The Momentum on the Chiefs side the game was going in the chiefs favor after the Geter Td. Rahaime Rainey would make two crucial plays an interception & a huge touchdown catch that was negated by a block in the back penalty. Chiefs who looked like they have all but came from behind with the victory was headed into Overtime.
