PLANTATION, FLA. -- This off-season I observed a young man from Broward County that came out of nowhere taking part in Generation Nexxt Ultimate Skills Challenge showcase this off-season -- which featured several notable wide receivers from Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach.
Louis Rolle combination of speed, coverage and ball skills blew me away at cornerback. Louis allowed one reception out of twelve one-on-one's during the ELITE 5 showcase and this fall, he is showing that he is not just combine like athlete.
Louis is shutting wide receivers down this season not allowing a single pass and has 2-interceptions on the season thus far and most importantly, he doesn't take plays off.
Plantation Wildcats CB Louis Rolle is Generation Nexxt Class of 2020 #1 rated cornerback in South Florida.
Question: Who do you compare your game to at cornerback? And why?
Answer: I learned my game from my brother Hugs Etienne who was the number 1 cornerback in Broward county in his class and went to the University of Wisconsin. He taught me everything I know at the cornerback position. Specifically man to man coverage. I also compare myself to Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals. He has great speed and he is a technician. I have been following him since he was in high school.
Question: Who has helped you become this great player you are today?
Answer: I thank God for the talent he gave me, and my brother Hugs Etienne for working with me and my coaches for having faith and continued guidance. I'll take a little credit as well because I always grind to get better as an athlete and a person.
Question: What high school do you plan on attending next fall? And why?
Answer: It is my hope to play at American Heritage. They are a great school that has a great education and sports program. Their coaches are absolutely the best in South Florida and the school is one of the best in the nation with 90% of their students/athletes going to college.
