By Jerry Williamson

In 2003, Harvey Colts (Harvey, Illinois) Jr. Pee Wee 11-year-old quarterback Jasmine Plummer, became the first female quarterback to partictipate in the 56th Annual Pop Warner Super Bowl. The year 2008 saw the release of the film "The Longshots", which depicted Jasmine Plummer experience.

Twelve years later (2015), history will be made again. The Palmetto Raiders (Miami, FL) midgets student-athlete Kirsten Rolle, will become the first female to particitipate on the midgets division (Highest level of play) in the Pop Warner Super Bowl.

This 13-year-old young lady isn't a push over folks. She stands 5-foot-4, 180-pounds, and she just don't sport a jersey, just to say she plays football. Kristen has a few pancakes, sacks, and tackle for loss under her belt this season, competing in the toughest Pop Warner Conference in the country.

Miami Pop Warner has (37) National Championship teams since 1998, just to give you an example of what she competes against each Saturday, Kristen is a "Beast" on the court. She starts at power and small forward for Miami-Dade Pal, coached by Minnie Hightower, which competes in the USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association). Her basketball team is ranked #11 in the sunshine state and Kristen averages (18) points and (10) rebounds per game and has captured (4) championships.

football and basketball for (9) years now. Inside the classroom, her favorite subject is math and just like sports, she standouts as well, sporting a 3.0 weighted GPA.

On Dec. 6, 2015, Kristen will add to Palmetto Raiders rich-history, as the first female to participate on the midgets division (Highest level of play) in the Pop Warner Super Bowl. Her head coach Arties Knight (2-time Pop Warner National Champion) will be making his 5th trip as a head coach and try to make Kristen Rolle, the first Pop Warner Super Bowl champion.
