PLANTATION WILDCATS UNLIMITEDS AIMING FOR THE BIG GAME!

Plantation Wildcats Unlimiteds Aiming For The Big Game!

By Jonah Woullard

(October 28, 2010)- As we all know in the wild, wildcats hunt for big game day in and day out just to survive. Well, in the city of Plantation, there is no exception to that rule. The Plantation Wildcats Unlimiteds have finished their regular season undefeated, with an impressive record (11-0.)

The Wildcats finished the regular season with a match up against the Weston Warriors, defeating the Warriors 38-0. In this game, the Wildcats really flexed their cat like quickness scoring two quick touch downs from their sensational quarterback, Tavares McFadden #1. Tavares touchdowns were followed up by another impressive touchdown run by the Wildcats talented tailback, Ronald “Zay” Kennedy #5. But make no mistake; these touchdowns can only be scored behind one of the most complete fullbacks in the AYFL, Darrian McIntyre #34.

Not to be out done, the Plantation Wildcats defense pitched a shutout on a talented Weston Warriors offense. This aggressive Wildcats defense is lead by one of the quickest defensive ends in youth football, Fabian Joseph #2, who leads the Wildcats in sacks and tackles for losses. But a lot of those sacks are credited to excellent downfield coverage provided by lockdown corner back, Gary Bright #3, who had an interception against the Warriors. And one player offensive coordinators have to game plan against is Wildcats’ linebacker Zack Antolak #41, a throwback type of player which the Wildcats’ coaching staff all agree is the anchor of this 5-2 defense.

Head Coach Dr. Andy Nolan contributes the Wildcats undefeated regular season to the coaching staff that pays attention to details by putting the players in the position to win, and also just having flat out athletes who love to compete. Coach Andy who is an eye surgeon by day and an unlimited head coach on the weekends understands that this is an opportunity for the Plantation Wildcats program to do something great, and relishes the challenge of being an undefeated champion in the American Youth Football League.

Coach Andy is assisted by Coach Charles Nolan, Coach Craig Uecker, Coach Tamarious Pierce, who have all contributed to 24 young men buying into one team, one goal. Now the next couple weeks will reveal if the Plantation Wildcats are really ready to hunt for “The Big Game!”
