The Suniland Sundevils, 13U football team led by head coach Kelsey Hayes -- has his team clicking on all cyclinders. Offensive coordinator Dray Smith has the sundevils averaging roughly 24-points per game this fall and the defense, hasn't allowed over 24-points combined the entire season behind the playcalling of defensive coordinator Oswald Francis.
The suniland offense continues to shine and cause defenses a hard-time adjusting to their shotgun spread attack. (#6) Quarterback Brandon McDuffey Jr. does three things exceptionally well -- By time, read defenses and throw the pigskin.
Brandon accounted for over (200) all purpose yards and scored (4) Touchdowns on the day using his arm and legs. Brandon's touchdown passes went to wide receivers -- Ulises Sarria (45-yards) and Malik Lubin (4-yards), who aren't strangers to the end zone -- scoring over three touchdowns thus far this season.
The sundevils controlled the game by controlling the trenches. (#66) DT Cheyenne Lecour (2-sacks) and (#50) DE Dante De Rosa (3-sacks) combined for (5) sacks and several tackles for loss, aiding to their shutout. The offensive line was led by oustanding play from (#52) Kesean Norris-Hayes and Vershun Adams.
South Miami highlights on offense came from wide receiver Umir ervan -- making several acrobatic catches, but it wasn't enough to defeat the sundevils. In two weeks, Suniland vs. South Kendall 13U football game will be a MUST SEE showdown.
