KENDALL HAMMOCKS WARRIORS
The Pride of Kendall
By Jonah Woullard
The Kendall Hammocks Warriors, the pride of the city of Kendall. Not every day you say your program averages three teams in the Miami Dade Xtreme Youth Football League Championships, but even more in 2009 won all three that the Warriors participated in.
This year the Warriors bring three very strong teams again. The undefeated 75 LB. Warrior squad, the undefeated 105 LB. squad, and also the undefeated 120 LB. squad, which are all defending champions from last year.
The Kendall Hammocks Warriors 75 team may be small in size, but BIG in surprise. Head coached by Ben Young, this team is enjoying a 28 game winning streak and aims to be crowned champions yet again, but understands that they have to play within themselves to remain unbeaten. They Warriors will take on a tough Dania Bears 75 lb. team in the super bowl and are most excited that it is Championship time again!
The Kendall Hammocks Warriors 105 team, lead by head coach Raul Gonzalez, also enjoys over a two year winning streak. This Warrior team has a do not quit mentality. The 105’s were behind in a couple games this year, but stayed focus for four quarters, and pulled out some amazing wins along the way. The Warriors look to take on a talented Lake Steven’s team in the Super Bowl, but look forward to the challenge that as defending champs you will get everyone’s best shot!
Not to be outdone, The Kendall Hammocks 120 team has set the bar high. Back to back champions and returning back to big show yet again. Head coach Jose Cisneros has set system in place that has each player excelling in his own respective position. Over the last couple of years, week in and week out the Warriors have taken on all on comers with the same result, a Warriors win. The Warriors 120 team will take on the South Florida Hurricanes in a showdown to remember and look forward to putting it all on the line to prove who’s the champs!
