Miami Gardens, Fl - In a game where even the Miami Dolphins Special teams came out for see, featured the Miami Gardens Vikings (100lbs) coach by Matari Bodie versus the Ft. Lauderdale Hurricanes (100lbs) coach by Christopher Roach was a featured match up in the Florida Youth Football League.

The toast of victory went to the Vikings in a 14-0 shutout Saturday afternoon at Scott Lake Park. “This felt great to beat them [Hurricanes] because they were trash talking all week." Vikings’ #22 Kamari Fair said during post game interview.

Miami Gardens' extraordinary defense put a clamp on the Hurricanes run game forcing a fumble, interception by Vikings #24 Brandon Calero and only allowing a total of 8 yards of rushing during the second half.

"They didn't get anything on our side, nothing our way, my team stepped up and we showed them this was our territory," Vikings’ linebacker #00 Aaron Conyers said.

The Vikings first half score came on a quarterback sneak by #5 Anthony

Richardson with #3 David Jean-Charles adding the extra point gave them the 7-0 halftime lead.

Miami Gardens then showed there prowess on offense during the start of the third quarter, Vikings big back, #4 Thaddius Franklin Jr., exploded for a 45-yard run, picking up the first down setting up the Vikings' offense in the red zone. Vikings punched it in with a five-yard pass from Vikings' quarterback,  #2 Knaje Guthrie to WR, #8 De-Ondre Freeman.

"I thought I was going to get caught, but then I noticed I was already in the end zone, and just scored," #8 De-Ondre Freeman said about his score that gave his team the 14-0 comfortable lead in the fourth.

Ft. Lauderdale made a push late game on a 30-yard sprint by # 0 Darnavius Anderson who put the Hurricanes in position to get on board and make it a game, but the Vikings' goal line defense was too much to overcome, resulting in turnover on downs and the referee's calling it a game.

Vikings take their undefeated record to the Betty T. Complex to take on their long time nemesis, the Miami Gardens Bulldogs, which we all know are the Bunch Park Cowboys, in Bulldogs’ jerseys.
