SOUTH MIAMI HEIGHTS, FLA. --
The South Kendall Seahawks formerly known as the South Kendall Gators has a new name, new location and new attutide this fall. The seahawks now practice at Miami Southridge high school and HC/OC -- Julius Coats and DC Edwin DeShazior are putting up eye-catching statistics on both sides of the ball and mostly important, are unbeaten standing at 5-0 as of today.
The seahawks has outscored opponents (100-12). Defeating Hollywood Pal (33-6), Ives Estate (13-0), Miami Springs (18-0), Homestead Knights (28-0) and Kendall Hammocks (8-6). Here's a note -- the two touchdowns allowed by the seahawks defense was mishandled fumbles by their offense inside of their 5-yard line.
The seahawks "game changer" on offense is Dual threat QB Trenard Wilson. Trenard has scored a number of touchdowns this fall and is playing big considering he's only in the 7th grade. The offense is fueled by four versatile playmakers -- Anthony Frith, Aquilles Sumpter, Raheem Nottage and Romello Gatlin have played a large role outscoring opponents.
The defense is led by South Florida sack master defensive tackle, Alvin Kemp. He literally averages roughly 3-sacks per game and has over 15-sacks at this point of the season and this is not a padded statd folks.
Middle linebacker Marquand Tatum was named "Deep South Gridiron Report" player of the week once this season and he also has helped with the outscoring margin scoring on defense and make tackles sideline to sideline. The game everyone is waiting for is two weeks from now vs. The air attack, Suniland Sundevils.
